The most famous include the Lusatian Mountains, Jizera Mountains, and Giant Mountains. The highest mountain in the Czech Republic are in the Krkono\u0161e Mountains, located in the adjacent Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 region, which is why Kotel (1,435 m) ranks as the highest peak here. The most famous mountain resort here is Harrachov, where hotels, guesthouses and restaurants have increasingly been added since 1989, and to this day it is one of the most popular ski destinations in the Czech Republic. For example, you can stay in the Pension &amp; Restaurant Roubenka or just make a temporary stop here for a delicious meal after a busy day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JE\u0160T\u011aD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another popular place in the region is Je\u0161t\u011bd, where you can reach via either car or cable car. You can start with Bezd\u011bz Castle, which is located next to the town of Doksy, and where you can recuperate your strength before or after the tour with a full, hearty burger at S l\u00e1skou Karel. You can also visit the castle and chateau Grab\u0161tejn, Fr\u00fddlant, chateau Sychrov, Lemberk or the ruins of the castle Trosky from the 14th century located in the Bohemian Paradise. All the castles and chateaux mentioned are considered National Cultural Monuments, so you should not miss them under any circumstances!<\/p>\n<p><strong>HIKING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you prefer hiking, we recommend trekking on the Rieger Trail or visiting Vranovsk\u00e9 Sk\u00e1ly. You can also take a trip to the Kl\u00ed\u010d peak or to the Lu\u017e mountain, a border mountain between the Czech Republic and Germany, which is protected at its peak as a nature reserve in the territory of both states.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VILLAGES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Along the way throughout this region, you can lose yourself in one of the many villages, where the individual houses and cottages have their own unique architectural features.
